Vicki can do the job.
As one of the three names offered to fulfill Mike Leita's term on the Board of Yakima County Commissioners, I find I have a unique perspective. Although I have only known Vicki Baker for a few years, I have come to greatly respect and value her passion for service..."Baker's Selection was the Right Choice."
With never-ending dedication and drive, passion for people as a whole, years of community involvement, and a willingness to work 24/7 (often working 12-plus hour days as commissioner), she has proven herself a champion for the Yakima Valley and an asset we need to keep.
Vicki Baker proves each day that she is the right person for the job of County Commissioner. She speaks well so that people know exactly what she stands for and is trying to accomplish. Then she goes right ahead, working on her own and with other people from both sides of the aisle. and jumps in to get the job done. She is an excellent representative of Yakima and deserves to continue as our Commissioner!
[Vicki] has great public relations skills and is a pleasure to work with. She is a great leader to have in our community. The county commissioners were right to choose her to replace Mike Leita. Voters would be smart to retain Vicki Baker as a Yakima County commissioner.
Thank you Vicki for all the work you are doing to get Yakima County open. You are truly deserving of continuing to be our County Commissioner again!!
Yakima County Commissioner Vicki Baker has done an incredible job since she took office. Yakima County's economic recovery from COVID-19 shutdown will require an experienced businessperson who understands how to provide services to Yakima County residents without raising taxes. Baker is proving she has the skills to do just that.
Proven business acumen. Self made leader. Strong and intelligent. What a perfect candidate to help this county move forward. We need this leadership right now more than ever. Let’s step up Yakima County and let Vicki Baker continue the leadership we need. Common sense in community is our gift.
We are fortunate to have Vicki Baker as a Yakima County Commissioner. She has shown real leadership and common sense which is sorely needed during these times. Please join me and vote to reelect Vicki to the County Commission.
In her short 6 months, I am impressed with her over and over with how strong of an advocate she is for us. She is a powerhouse in motion and 110% has my vote to re-elect!
I have known Vicki Baker for a few years now and she was such an inspiration to me as a small-business owner. She took time out of her busy life to help share some ideas on how to run my business. I know she will be a huge asset to all of us businesses in our county as long as she is our Yakima County Commissioner.
Baker is fighting for each and every "Small Business to stay in business" in Yakima County. She was instrumental in pushing through this CARES Act giving small businesses the opportunity to apply for a $10,000 grant to help pay rent and utilities through these tough times.
As a former elected official who served as Yakima County Commissioner for eight years, I am glad to support Vicki Baker for the same position. She has done an excellent job during her first year in office. Baker deserves special recognition for her hard work in leading our county's effort to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Retain Yakima County Commissioner Vicki Baker, a person of outstanding integrity, generosity, and energy. Since her appointment, Baker has been taking the lead on COVID-19 matters and working hard to balance public safety and reopening our economy to save small business. As the owner of two small businesses, I value her firsthand knowledge of our challenges. She has lobbied, testified and served on legislative committees and has been active with the NFIB Leadership Council....
Baker's leadership during this time of COVID-19 crisis and her advocacy on behalf of small businesses in Yakima County has been exemplary. I appreciate her commitment to developing and advancing sensible plans to reopen local businesses while ensuring safety and support for unsheltered and vulnerable individuals in our community.
If this race is decided on substance, Baker wins in a landslide.
Baker has impressed me with her diligence and thoroughness, during both training and in hearings...As a retired country lawyer who dabbled in land use, preparation and listening hard are critical attributes. She has them. I encourage you to vote for her.
